If you have extra luggage over and above your free baggage allowance, you can check in up to seven extra bags per person and pay online. Each bag can weigh up to a maximum of 23kg with dimensions of up to 90 x 75 x 43cm (35.5 x 29.5 x 16inches).
If you have bags weighing over 23kgs, charges for the overweight bag will apply. Beyond this, you can purchase up to 10 bags in total at the airport. If you are traveling in Upper Class, the maximum weight allowed is 32kgs per bag.

As per the baggage policy of Virgin Atlantic, you will get at least one checked in bag weighing 23kg included as part of your ticket unless you're flying Economy Light.
It is recommended that you check your bags in at least 2 hours before your departure. For any extra baggage exceeding the standard limits, you will need to pay a fee.
Hand Baggage Allowance
The maximum size of the hand baggage allowed in the cabin is 23 x 36 x 56cm (9 x 14 x 22 inches). And it should fit in the overhead bin without any assistance. For every different class of travel such as Economy, Premium, and Upper Class, the allowance varies.
Passengers flying in the Economy or Premium cabins can carry a single piece of hand baggage weighing up to 10kg (or 22lb) per person.
Upper-Class passengers can take up to two pieces of hand baggage per person, weighing up to 12kg (26lb) for one bag, or up to 16kg (35lb) combined weight. Like, you can carry a 12kg bag and another little bag of 4kg.
Children aged 2+ years are entitled to the same amount of hand baggage allowance as an adult in the cabin allowances mentioned above. While babies and toddlers aged 0-23 months are entitled to one bag, each weighing up to 6kg (or 13lb).

Check-in Baggage Allowance
For passengers traveling Economy Light, only hand baggage is allowed. However, to check-in a bag, the airline gives you the option to buy additional baggage.
Passengers traveling Economy Classic and Delight can carry one checked in bag weighing up to 23kg (50lb) and dimensions of up to 90 x 75 x 43cm (35.5 x 29.5 x 16ins).
For Premium Class travelers, two pieces of baggage are allowed each weighing up to up to 23kg (50lb) with dimensions of up to 90 x 75 x 43cm (35.5 x 29.5 x 16ins).
All those traveling as Upper-Class passengers can take up to three pieces of baggage, each weighing up to 32kg (70lb) with dimensions of up to 90 x 75 x 43cm (35.5 x 29.5 x 16ins).
For children and seated infants, the baggage allowances are the same as mentioned above.
For lap infants, the baggage allowance is 1 x 23kg (50lb) bag in any cabin apart from Economy Light, where there is no baggage included.

Change in the Itinerary
Please note that you can change your itinerary only if it is allowed by the Tariff applicable to your ticket. Changes such as date or route changes, if you don’t take flights in the agreed sequence or the first flight on your ticket, may either result in a price change or will not be possible at all. The airlines will update you whether you can make any such changes and if there is an additional fee or refund applicable. So, you will have to contact Virgin Atlantic. Also, for making these itinerary changes, we may charge a change fee, which is based on the Tariff applicable to your ticket.
Transfer of Ticket
If your name appears on the ticket, only you are allowed to travel on it. It cannot be transferred into anyone else’s name unless your flight was bought as part of a Package Holiday.

Refundable Tickets

Non-refundable Ticket
For a non-refundable ticket, you must take out travel insurance if you need to cancel. For such a ticket, which has not been used partially or at all, you can initiate for a refund of taxes, Government Scheme costs, and fees levied by the government, airport operator, or other authority.
An administration fee will be deducted from your refund amount which may be up to £30 per passenger and £3 per infant.
For ticket cancelations due to death or illness of a passenger, a travel companion, or a member of the passenger’s immediate family, no administration fee will be deducted.
