The airline allows you to carry with you a certain baggage limit. However, if you are carrying baggage more than the standard limit, you will have to pay oversized and overweight baggage fees.
The baggage allowance of the airline depends on the departure destination, arrival destination, class of service, and Etihad Guest membership. You can use the airline’s baggage calculator available on the official website to know the baggage allowance for a particular trip.
If you arrive at the airport will excess baggage, you will need to pay $60 each way for all flights including Canada and the U.S. Passengers flying between the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent, within the Middle East and between Beijing and Nagoya need to pay $40 each way as excess baggage fees.

Etihad Airways offers up to 20% off on their standard rates so that you pack as much as you want. For an extra 5 Kilos, passengers need to pay $82, for excess 10 kg the cost is $166, for 15 Kg it is $212, and so on. Use this excess baggage calculator to proceed. The discount is valid for a specific time before the flight’s scheduled departure.
Etihad Guest Tier members can carry up to 20 kg of extra baggage without paying anything extra.
The airline offers easy cancelation policy to its passengers. You can cancel the ticket by visiting the official website of the airline, contacting its Global Contact Centre, or the travel agent from whom you have purchased your ticket.
