  • You can cancel flights within 24 hours of the reservation without any penalty.
  • An administrative fee of EUR 40 applies to all refund requests which are done through a service center, social media, and all other channels.
  • For flights within Europe, the refund will depend on the type of your travel class and fare. Like, for Check&Go, the basic fare is non-refundable, for Light&Relax, it is refundable, but a cancelation fee will be charged.

Yes, tickets are refundable, but the amount of refund may vary with the type of travel class and routes.

  • For flights within Europe, the basic fare is non-refundable in Check&Go, but partially refundable in Light&Relax (after deducting a cancelation fee of EUR 70 per-one way), and fully refundable for Flex&Fast and Bizz&Class.
  • Please note that airline fees, additional services purchased, and insurance taxes are non-refundable.
  • Once you’ve requested the refund, your ticket will become invalid and will not be available for rebooking.

Brussel Airlines has a fully-fledged pet policy that you should consider before making any reservation for your pet. While traveling with the airline, you can carry your pets in the cabin with you, or they can be transported in the hold.

As per the pet policy of the airline:

  • Carriage for Pug-nosed dogs and cats such as Pekinese, bulldogs, boxers, and all crossbreed and exotic short hair-cats can be done in two ways- pet in cabin carriage and Live Animal in Hold. This is subject to the acceptance of discharge. You will have to complete the following discharge form for mentioning how you would like to transport your animal.
  • The airline allows only small domestic animals such as dogs and cats and service animals like seeing eye, hearing or assistant dogs in the cabin. Rodents, birds, rabbit, fish, etc., are not allowed.

Pets in the Cabin

  • Pets must be 12 weeks old (16 weeks for flights to/from the USA) and must not exceed the maximum weight of 8kg, including the pet bag whose sum of dimensions shouldn’t exceed 118cm.
  • An additional fee is charged for animals in the cabin, which is EUR 50 for flights within Europe and EUR 70 for intercontinental flights.

Animals in Hold

  • You can bring a maximum of 2 adult animals of 14kg each in one container. Please note than the animal is harmless, clean, and healthy and doesn’t produce a bad odor.
  • For the cage with dimensions of 53X36X38cm, EUR100 will be charged for flights within Europe and EUR150 will apply to Intercontinental flights.
  • You will have to pay EUR 200 for flights within Europe and EUR 300 for intercontinental flights if the size and the weight of the cage is:

121 x 81 x 88cm (20kg)

Yes. Brussels Airlines offers two ways to report your lost baggage:

You can either report your lost baggage within 24 hours of the original arriving time of the flight or file a complaint at the Brussels Airlines desk before leaving the airport. On reporting, a unique reference number will be given to you so that you can easily trace your luggage.

If the baggage is missing for 5 days

If your baggage is missing for 5 days, then the airline will start with an extensive search procedure by taking the baggage contents into consideration. For this, you will have to complete the baggage inventory form and submit the same to the Central baggage Tracing Department through email.

If the baggage is missing for 21 Days

Your baggage will be declared as lost and you will become eligible for the compensation if your baggage is still not found even after 21 days. Use this form to request the claim and provide purchase receipts, invoices, and bank statements to mention the value of the baggage content.
